Overview of the Position

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify prospects, cultivate relationships, and generate new business with healthcare providers to grow market share and achieve sales goals in the territory.
  • Educate providers on the value-based Smart Informatics™ testing platform.
  • Maintain and manage a sales pipeline via Salesforce and collaborate with internal sales support team members to ensure customer success.
  • Take the lead in managing closed customer accounts. As we take a collaborative approach to account management, work with Customer Success and Sales Operations teams to maintain inventory, manage specimen collectors, and control the growth of the account.
  • Provide market data and feedback to sales and marketing leadership on market trends and new product and service needs.

Skills and Attributes

  • A self-starter who is focused on setting high goals and achieving them. Must have a winning mind-set. Hunter-driven attitude towards pursuing, closing, and developing new sales.
  • Outstanding relationship-building skills, and strong customer service attitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; proactive cross-functional communicator and team player.
  • Works closely with Operations and Logistics to lead the onboarding of new accounts.
  • Maintain detailed reports of contacts, sales activities including calls, orders, sales, and any customer or vendor relationship problems through Salesforce.
  • Ability to travel 100% within your territory.

Education and Experience:

  • BA or BS from a four-year university
  • At least 3 years medical sales, account management and field-based sales experience.
  • Proven record of success meeting and exceeding territory volume growth objectives in diagnostic/pharmaceutical sales.
